Thanks for the Plug. What’s autodiscovery for my RSS feed? I hate my blog software, it could most likely have something to do with it…

Autodiscovery means that there is an special HTML tag in the header part of your HTML code, that enables RSS readers to just automatically find the URL of the RSS feed. The tag should look something like this:

<link rel=”alternate” type=”application/rss+xml” title=”Transit Miami RSS 2.0 Feed” href=”http://transitmiami.com/rss.aspx” />

Or, if not that, you should at least put a link somewhere :-)

Interesting and Thanks. You think if I copy and paste that into my coding it will work?

Marcel Marchon, on January 13, 2007 @ 9:05 pm

Yes, I think that should work. Just put it in the HEAD section of your code.

Hmm, and here in lies my problem. GoDaddy Software restricts my access to that…I’m switching platforms soon, so we’ll see…

Huh, that’s odd. But then it would be helpful to at least include a plain old link to the RSS feed. Maybe in your left nav bar below ‘Back to Main Page’.

Any Better Now Marcel?
