New Mexico Rail Runner carries 100,000th passenger after only 1 month
On August 14, New Mexico Rail Runner carried their 100,000th passenger - just 1 month after the start of the service on July 14 of this year. Ridership has already reached a level of ~4,000 passengers every day - probably aided by the fact that riding Rail Runner is free for the first three months.

The New Mexico Rail Runner is in the process of choosing a route to Santa FE, (Phase 2). No effort is being made to notify Santa Fe residents that they are in the path of a train. There are several existing neighborhoods in the 4 proposed alternate routes. If you live south of Santa Fe, LOOK OUT!

Hello anonymous,
you make it sound like having a train in your neighborhood - especially a passenger train - was a bad thing. I tend to disagree on that one. I think it would be good if more residential areas were concentrated along hubs of public transportation - then people wouldn’t have to use their cars that much.
