Northern California TRAC Members & Associates–
The PENINSULA CORRIDOR JOINT POWERS BOARD will hold a Board of Directors Meeting:
Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m.
Item #13 is ENDORSEMENT OF THE PRINCIPLES OF THE SILICON VALLEY HIGH SPEED RAIL COALITION (primary principal is the adoption of a Pacheco Pass high-speed rail alignment.)
We urge any members who are available to attend and testify.
TRAC supports the Altamont Pass Alignment in its High-Speed Rail Policy, and supports the commencement of the MTC regional transportation study that includes ‘objective’ consideration of alignments for high-speed rail from the Bay Area to the Central Valley. TRAC believes the Caltrain Board Adopting a position on this alignment prior to the completion of this extensive study is poor policy.
