Swiss Federal Transport Minister Moritz Leuenberger is riding on a freight train from Germany through Switzerland to Italy today and tomorrow. He has been invited by SBB Cargo to ride along on this route, enabling him to check up on the status of freight railroading on Switzerland’s most important transit route today.

Mr Leuenberger uses the train almost daily to get from Zurich, his hometown to the Swiss capital of Bern.

NO TRAIN SERVICE, MONDAY, JULY 4th
There will be no train service, Monday, July 4th for the Holiday.

ACE TICKET WINNERS AT THE STOCKTON PORTS GAME
If you’re an ACE ticket winner to the Stockton Ports game on Monday, July 4th, please stop by the ACE booth at the entrance to the ballpark to pick up your winning tickets. Game start time is 6:05, Play Ball!!!

ACE TRAINS 05 & 06 EXTENDED TO STOCKTON
Effective July 5, 2005 ACE train’s 05 and 06 will be extended to Stockton! ACE Train 05 will depart Stockton at 6:35 AM and continue with the current schedule from Lathrop to San Jose. ACE train 06 will depart Lathrop at 7:25 PM and arrive in Stockton at 7:48 PM. The Stockton to Lathrop shuttle will be discontinued.

POSSIBLE BAY AREA TRANSIT STRIKE
BART is currently involved in labor negotiations. If an agreement is not reached by the deadline (currently June 30, 2005), service could be impacted due to a possible labor strike. Although these agencies may go on strike, please be assured that Altamont Commuter Express’ service is not involved in these negotiations, and the ACE Train service will continue as scheduled.
